In 1934, the first Pentecostal missionaries were invited to Holtville. Meetings were held in the Holtville School, in homes, as well as outdoors.<br /> <br /> In 1935 Clairemont Munn donated land and work was begun on a church the following year. The congregation grew over the next 20- 30 years and in 1963, it was necessary to build a bigger church, which was dedicated in the summer of 1963 (The first church is now a home – Carl Lovelace home).<br /> In the early 1980’s a new sanctuary was added. January 8, 1984, marked the date of the first service in the completed building. <br /> <br /> In the first 26 years of this church building, Holtville – Boiestown Pentecostal were served by the same pastors. In 1979 these two churches became autonomous.
