Church history

Paragraph that details some of the information about this church.
The First Anglican Church in the Doaktown area was built in Ludlow in1884 although an English Church presence was in the area much earlier.
In 1891 a second Anglican church in the area was built in Doaktown itself. This church, St. Andrew’s Anglican, was erected on land donated by Robert Swim. It was completed and consecrated in 1892. In the first 10 -15 years there was no resident priest; the area was served by at least eight different missionaries.
In 1913 the Anglican Parish of Ludlow and Blissfield was created and the Rev. Henry Waterton became the first rector. A rectory was built in Doaktown for the priest who would oversee, not only Doaktown, but the Anglican churches at Ludlow, Carroll’s Crossing and Boiestown.
Today, the Anglican churches at Doaktown, Carroll’s Crossing and Boiestown remain the Anglican churches of Upper Miramichi.
