Our Lady of Lourdes Roman Catholic Church was constructed in 1906 when Edward Murdock was Parish Priest in Boiestown; Our Lady of Lourdes became a Mission Church of Boiestown. From 1906 to the 1990’s this church was the center of an active church community. With the exception of the placement of a new foundation in the 1950’s, Our Lady remained the same throughout the years.<br /> <br /> In the 1990’s a new church was constructed in the McDonald Woods, just outside Doaktown, to replace Our Lady of Lourdes as well as the 100 year old Holy Name of Mary Church.<br /> <br /> Our Lady of Lourdes was sold and today it houses a dental clinic at 271 Main St., Doaktown.<br /> <br />
