Paragraph that details some of the information about this church.
The first church in Tabusintac was Presbyterian, and built in the 1830’s. This church, together with a manse, barn and cemetery was at Church Point.
A new St. Andrew’s Church was built in the 1880’s in Tabusintac Village, and the manse and land at Church Point were sold. Later the old church was taken apart and moved to the site of the new church property to build a barn. In 1903, a steeple was built on the new church and the church was later enlarged and remodeled. In 1910, it was enlarged again.
In the 1920’s, members of the Tabusintac Methodist Church were given membership in St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church. In 1925, St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church members were voted to be part of the United Church of Canada.
From its beginning until 1964, the Tabusintac Church was part of the two point charge of Tabusintac and Burnt Church. In 1964, Ferry Road United Church (Bethel) was added to make a three point charge.
