Church history
*
Paragraph that details some of the information about this church.
When the United Church of Canada was formed in 1925, the Presbyterians of Burnt Church and New Jersey, who had not voted for union, decided to build a new church. Until completion of the church, services were held in the school in New Jersey. Building a new church in New Jersey was not an easy task as funds were not forthcoming. In fact, it was not until 1929 that enough monies were available to begin on land donated by Halliday MacKnight. The building was not completed until 1954 and given the name Zion. The church officially opened on June 6, 1954.
